LUNCHBOX LEARNING
Condensate Stabilization & Optimization

Held online via Zoom
Thursday, January 19
12:00 PM to 1:30 PM (MST)
Free to attend

OVERVIEW

Dr. Wayne Monnery will cover the areas of operations that are important to effective condensate management. Uncover your opportunities for more liquid and fewer losses. Review where to look for optimizing your process. We will explore stabilizers, fractionators, residue, and knockouts.

Get your questions answered with a Q&A open mic at the end of each session!

IDEAL COURSE FOR:

  • Engineering Disciplines
  • Decision-makers & Management
  • Operations Personnel

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Identify process parameters that affect condensate recovery
  • Mitigation concepts for operational issues – storage, off-spec, separation, transport
  • Better understand gas composition throughout the process – slugs, inlet, drains, water cuts, 3 phase separators
  • Review of process simulation software

LIQUID PROCESSING EXPERT & EDUCATOR

Dr. Wayne Monnery, Ph.D., B.Sc, M.Sc, P.Eng., is SIGIT's Director, Technology, and Dean of SIGIT Academy. He has over 30 years of industry experience, specializing in gas processing (pipeline hydraulics, separation, dehydration, treating, sulfur recovery and refrigeration processes) and also has experience with crude oil dehydration, stabilization and micro-refining topping plants. Dr. Monnery has experience with developing new technology and is recently involved in lithium, waste biomass and used motor oil pyrolysis and geothermal projects. He has written several papers published in both academic and industry journals, and has recognized expertise in thermodynamics and physical and transport properties of fluids.

Dr. Monnery is currently involved with a small power-based carbon capture project as well as helping clients determine the best options for utilities decisions. He has been involved with CO2 dehydration and CO2 flood gas treating as well as acid gas injection projects for several years.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

All course participants will receive a signed Course Completion Certificate that you may use towards your professional engineering accreditations – receiving 1.5 hours in total.

This course is designed especially for those in Engineering disciplines, operations and Midstream fields, at an entry level. The content is most practical for those with a technical background; however, those in operations management would benefit from the broad spectrum overview.

Both online and in person courses are recorded for internal purposes; recordings will not be circulated to registrants.
