LUNCHBOX LEARNING
*HAPPY HOUR EDITION

Process Simulations – Oil Characterization

Held online & in person (Calgary, AB)
Thursday, February 9
Course 3:30 PM to 4:30 PM (MST)
*In person wine tasting from 4:30-6:00 PM (MST)

All costs sponsored by SIGIT – this event is free to attend

OVERVIEW

Dr. Wayne Monnery will discuss approaches to characterizing oil assays with simulation software. Oil characteristics are important to meet specifications like density, viscosity and VP, as well as stabilization. Poor characterization may lead to inability to meet required specifications and possibly inadequate facility design and operation.

NOTE:
Only 15 seats are available for in person learning.
In person participants will have the opportunity to ask questions and network during the wine tasting portion.

IDEAL COURSE FOR:

  • Engineering Disciplines
  • Recent Graduates

LEARNING OUTCOMES:

  • Students will leave with the knowledge to improve their models of oil processes
  • Gain better understanding of oil characterization
  • Review example simulations with a recognized industry expert
