OUR HISTORY
Back in 2003, our founder, John O’Rourke led a consulting company “Go Man Go (GMG)”. He was considering a rebrand, and while out for lunch with his team, John asked how they could translate Go Man Go in another language.
One of his Draftsmen, who was born in the Philippines, said “SIGE” loosely meant GO in his native language, Tagalog.
With that spark of an idea, the SIGIT brand was born.
Starting as an electrical and automation company, we grew quickly in our first five years – despite the recession.
SIGIT has won various business awards including “Fast Growth 50”, “Top 200 Companies in Canada”, and “Innovator of the Year”.

John has been recognized as one of the top entrepreneurs in Canada by Ernst and Young. He represents three generations of Oilfield engineering and services experience in Canada. Founding SIGIT in 2004, he has grown the company into one of the Top 50 fastest growing companies in Alberta. SIGIT’s pursuit of solutions and services that impact SIGIT’s customers continues to drive the company. John provides leadership in the development for the continuous evaluation of short and long-term strategic objectives including the cultivation of business relationships at all levels of the Client decision-making process.

Joining SIGIT shortly after its creation in 2005, Jeff has seen it all over the years and has been instrumental in growing and shaping the SIGIT of today; He currently oversees the internal strategic direction of both the US and Canadian companies, ensuring that SIGIT continues to mean “Go!” and our customer experience is the same across North America.

USA Operations
Forrest has over 10 years of experience in the development, execution, and commissioning of automation systems in the upstream and midstream oil and gas industry. From these engagements with customers, Forrest has developed a deep understanding of the different critical paths that customers face in the oil and gas industry to complete a project. He is responsible for ensuring that SIGIT execution model is meeting the market demand and client expectations, as well as developing relationships with technology providers and packagers that participate in SIGIT executed projects.
